from Songs for Social Change, Volume 4 by RAWA (Renaissance Artists and Writers Association)

about

Lead singer/songwriter, Rebecca Lang Fiorentino delivers original and memorable songs that feature simple, heartfelt lyrics on life and love, which at times capture a classic folk sensibility. When not anchoring songs with her guitar, Rebecca picks up her violin and provides another emotional voice to the arrangement. Joining Rebecca are Mike McLane on upright bass and Harry Gambrill on dobro, banjo, mandolin and harmony. Her debut album, Only Be You came out in 2017 and their second album will be out in the Winter of 2020. They play throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, from it’s home base in the Delaware Valley at venues ranging from festivals to radio stations and coffee-houses.

Give me Your Tired was Rebecca's finalist entry in the Songs for Social Change contest.

lyrics

*Give Me Your Tired, give me your poor, give me your huddled masses, yearning to be free

For I was hungry and you gave me food, For I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me.

*Give Me Your Tired, give me your poor, give me your huddled masses, yearning to be free

For I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me, truly I say to you whatever you do for one of these, you do for me

*Give Me Your Tired, give me your poor, give me your huddled masses, yearning to be free
